GENERAL FEATURES OF YOKOHAMA BATTERIES

- Balanced electrolyte (acid) to active material ratio – that allows more electrolyte head space for longer battery life
- Special separator layout – which protects the positive plates from the harmful impacts of deep discharging and active material shedding
- Uses “Titan Grid”- product of the latest and most advanced stamped grid making technology, where battery grids are created by punching a lead alloy sheet that greatly improved corrosion resistance resulting to longer battery service life

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Mercury Battery Industries, Inc., guarantees that this battery is a product of quality. Should the battery fail in service traceable to defects in workmanship and/or materials within the specified warranty period and subject further to the limitations stated in this certificate, the battery together with this certificate and the sales invoice should be returned for inspection and warranty disposition to the supplier where the battery was purchased.
IMPORTANT
IF THE BATTERY IS FOUND DEFECTIVE, THE FOLLOWING REPLACEMENT ARRANGEMENT WILL APPLY

The battery will be replaced with a unit of the same type and brand. The warranty period of replacement battery will be computed as the warranty period of the original battery, less the actual service life of the original battery.

11. Government Service vehicles with printed logos
(Vehicles with “Red” plate numbers)
12. Others, as determined by MBIl
LIMITATIONS:
This warranty is not valid if on the sole judgment of the manufacturer or its representative, the following conditions exist:
1. The automobile or vehicle wherein the battery is supposed to be installed is not present or cannot be inspected by a representative of the dealer. The warranty period will automatically be the commercial warranty as stated in the warranty arrangement.
2. Warranty is void and not applicable if the defect or damage is caused by natural calamity.
3. Battery cases and / or covers are broken after installation due to mishandling of battery.
4. Battery fails because of overcharging or undercharging due to faulty electrical system of the vehicle.
5. There is evidence that chemical additives and / or incorrect grades of battery sulfuric acid were used in the battery.
6. Battery of lower capacity and / or smaller size than required was used.
7. There is evidence that the top label sticker has been tampered with. (Applicable only fly batteries labeled as Maintenance Free of MF).
8. There is evidence of tampering of codes and other official markings on the battery.
9. There is evidence that the battery has been transferred for use in another vehicle.
10. There has been transfer of ownership of vehicle.
11. There is evidence of failure to add distilled or demineralized water (for topping) when the electrolyte level falls below the top of plates (not applicable for Maintenance Free of MF labeled batteries).
12. The battery is just discharged.
13. The battery (for Maintenance-Free types only) dried up as a result of overcharging.
14. The battery exploded and any of the following conditions are present:
a. The battery has low acid level
b. The battery was overcharged
c. The battery has a poor or loose external connectors
d. The battery has a clogged venting system (due to poor maintenance)
If one of the above conditions is present and there is no evident problem on the workmanship and on the materials used in the product, the above condition present is then considered the cause of explosion.
Explosion is excluded from the Yokohama warranty in these cases.
15. The battery terminals are found to be broken or corroded due to negligence.
16. Without proper battery hold down that may lead to:
a. Excessive vibration
c. Battery burning
b. Battery explosion
d. Short circuit
Mercury Battery Industries Inc.(MBII) or any of its distributor and dealers are not liable for any consequential or incidental cost such as towing services or other damages including any loss in profit and business interruption related to the use, or inability to use our product.
BATTERY MAINTENANCE TIPS:
With proper maintenance, battery will deliver its full potential in performance and life. To ensure optimum performance, battery should be subjected to periodic servicing.
WEEKLY:
1. Clean terminal posts, cables and battery top. Application of grease (non-metallic base) on terminal clamps and post reduces acid corrosion.
2. Keep terminal clamps tight. Loose clamps result in lost electricity and rapid corrosion of terminal post.
3. Check damage on cables and posts: check container for leaks or cracks.
4. Check condition and tightness of battery hold down.
MONTHLY:
1. Check the vehicle’s generating system to prevent damage from over or undercharging.
2. Check battery’s state of charge by means of testing instruments.
3. Consult any MBIl Outlet for your battery problem.
SAFETY TIPS
1. Keep away from sparks, flame, burning cigarettes or other ignition sources.
2. Corrosive, will cause severe burns on skin when in contact.
3. Keep out of reach of children.
4. Keep vent caps tight and level.
